Modern Botanical Wedding Invitation

New DesignsJenn Jurf

Another one of my favorites, this modern, botanical wedding invitation suite. Honestly, I didn’t intend for this design to have a moody-modern vibe but when it all came together, it just worked so I’m going with it.

The leaves surrounding the invitation design are done in a lighter grey to make it not so bold, allowing more focus on the invitation details. The script brings in the modern feel with a very over-exaggerated touch of each letter.

I would absolutely love to see these leaves in blind letterpress (no ink). I think it would be gorgeous! So stay tuned or follow me on Instagram to see the results!

Lemon Citrus Wedding Invitation

New DesignsJenn Jurf

I’m in love with this Lemon Citrus Wedding Invitation Suite! It feels so refreshing just in time for summer.

I had the initial idea for this design when I was creating the recent bridal shower invitation collection. I decided to remove it from the collection in order to make it a full suite with matching wedding invitations, save the dates and complimenting stationery.

This design was heavily inspired by limoncello, italian, amalfi coast. I work with a lot of clients who are planning destination weddings in Italy and I couldn’t think of a better way to capture the vibe.

Mauve Floral Wedding Invitation

New DesignsJenn Jurf

This design was a few weeks in the making and I’m so excited to share it with you all today!

Let’s start with the script. I recently added this script to the collection after the Classic Floral Wedding Invitation released a few weeks ago. I wanted to showcase the elegance of the script with this design, using it for their names and venue location on the invitation. Because of the elegance of the script, I went with a more traditional wording layout.

I also became obsessed with how the “A” looks on its own so decided to add a monogram to the top of the invitation design, surrounding it by an elegant, yet simple wreath. I imagined it mimicking these simple greenery wreaths that I see floating around the industry trends.

Next came the envelope liner. I wanted to tie in the same simple floral drawings but I didn’t want to keep the design all black and white. So I decided to add a colored background and keep the drawing white so it would contrast. The colored background also allows flexibility if clients would like to change the color to match their wedding.

And that’s when it hit me… This design needed a wax seal! I felt strongly about adding a vellum jacket, wax seal and the whole nine yards to this design. Even if clients don’t use it for this design specifically, I still like to showcase the possibilities and knew this was the perfect opportunity to do so. So, that’s where the delay came in. Custom designing a wax seal and allowing time for it to arrive took an extra 2 weeks.

Once the wax seal arrived, I could color-match the envelope liner, polish off the design and share it with you all!

Shower Invitation Series Launch

New DesignsJenn Jurf

It’s always bittersweet when my wedding clients get married. I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with them and excited for them to get married but I’m also sad that I don’t get to work with them anymore.

Over the years, several of my former clients have reached out in search for shower invitations for a party their hosting for their friends or a baby shower invitation for themselves. I’m honored that my clients enjoyed working with me so much that they return for these occasions so I felt this calling to start broadening my collection

This became one of my goals for 2019, to release quarterly “specialized” designs. I’m starting with this bridal and baby shower invitation collection and will also be releasing photo save the dates, holiday cards and milestone birthday invitations throughout the remainder of 2019.

All of my weekly wedding invitation suite releases also include bridal and baby shower invitations so my overall collection has been building over the years. However, I wanted this release to be more focused on themed parties rather than my normal floral and greenery style.

Today, I’m excited to share the beginning of this series with bridal and baby shower invitations.

Asymmetrical Floral Wedding Invitation Suite

New DesignsJenn Jurf

I have had numerous requests for asymmetric designs lately so naturally, I had to add more to the collection. This design was heavily influenced from a recent client who customized the Simple Modern Script V2 design. Funny how things develop like that.

The Asymmetrical Floral Wedding Invitation highlights the couples names in a modern calligraphy, accented by a simple text for their wedding details. This invitation design is paired with the White Peony envelope liners to give it that simple, white and greenery touch.

My favorite part of this design is the envelopes, mainly because I tried something new with them and continued the asymmetrical design onto the envelopes.

Blue Marble Beach Wedding Invitation

New DesignsJenn Jurf

Did someone say summer? No? Maybe I’ve just been dreaming about it for far too long! This invitation suite definitely put me in the mood to lay on the beach and dive into a good book.

The Blue Marble Beach Wedding Invitation Suite is a minimalist design with simple, yet modern typography. The small starfish on the invitation design adds to the beach theme without adding distraction. The invitation is accented with a blue marble envelope liner to give it that ocean, beach vibe.

Classic Floral Wedding Invitation Suite

New Designs, InspirationJenn Jurf

Summer crept up real fast here in the Bay Area. We left for our wedding and it was still raining and cold every day only to return from our honeymoon to 90 degrees and sunny days. This sudden change put me in the mood to design something bright and cheery to ring in the new season.

Today, I’m sharing the Classic Floral Wedding Invitation. I love the bright florals with this design with a touch of greenery for spring and summer weddings. The script font is also an addition to my collection and I love it’s elegance, while still being legible.

With this design, I tried out a new wording layout for the invitation. The introduction has more of a casual, inviting tone, which still communicates who is hosting the event but with less of a formal tone, such as “request the honor of your presence.”

I also tried a new layout for the time of the event, specifically stating that the ceremony begins at 4pm with events to follow. I think when people see 4pm, they think to arrive at 4pm rather than slightly earlier to say hello and be seated before the ceremony begins.
